Where do you come from?
I have worked in my own practices for over thirty years; initially as an exercise therapist Cesar, where I was able to make people aware of their posture and movement patterns and their physical possibilities to move more freely. Cesar's kinesiology was a great first step in body awareness. I quickly learned that resolving a complaint can be very close if awareness is introduced. And of course the willingness to want that for yourself. This period also gave me a boost in professional awareness for me as a therapist. I learned that symptoms are a clever invitation from the body to heal and appropriate more of ourselves, including from the mental and spiritual dimensions. That made me want to learn more about the psyche and mind and how they 'speak' to us. And what ways there are to listen to it. First, Rogerian Psychotherapy and the Client-centered approach helped me understand the body-mind connection and learn to guide it. Later I gained access to the soul by experiencing the powerful undercurrent of family systems and applying system constellations. From that moment on I could serve the unity of body, soul and spirit, the 1e starting point of the original kinesiology of Mrs. Cesar (1894-1975).
Where are you now?
I have of course also gone through this awareness process myself. This is how I, living my full life, came into contact with an endless confidence in the possibilities we have. Not only physically but also mentally and spiritually. That deep belief in our infinite potential meant that 3 years ago I decided to leave the regular healthcare system. I really want to serve health and the regular system only allows that to a very limited extent. Recently I started calling myself holistic counselor and my practice is called Beyond Symptoms. This represents the ambition to look at the information that the symptom brings, what exactly needs attention at this moment, what wants to be healed? I choose the word counselor because I consider everyone to be the authority over his/her vital life. Ultimately, no one knows better what is good for the person than the person himself. Yet life can be so challenging that the connection with one's own wisdom is missing. At that moment I am available to make that connection aware and deepen it again. In this way, everyone becomes autonomous in finding his or her own creative answer to the invitation of a (difficult) situation. I have been applying this holistic guidance for over 15 years now to people with SOLK (somatically unexplained physical complaints), nowadays ALK (persistent physical complaints), in short, vague complaints. Stress and burnout. complaints An increasing group in my practice are people who do not necessarily have complaints, but who do have the desire to live their personal and professional life more from authenticity, beyond learned adjustments and conditioning.
Where are you going?
Making healthcare a service that actually serves health and well-being again! Helping more and more people come home, connect with their own rich possibilities and talents and thus make health and well-being something of the people themselves again. This with the power of a virus: a healthy virus. For individuals, groups and organizations. I think the contribution of the Being in Balance scan is fantastic: it measures processes in the making and therefore has a very preventive character! This means that I can serve health before someone is already sick. The operation of the scan is also based on the belief that there is an inseparable connection between body and mind. This gives me the opportunity to visually indicate emotional, psychological and physical processes prior to possible symptoms of illness.
My personal mission:
Let as many people as possible reconnect with and restore confidence in their own self-healing ability.
