In what ways do thoughts shape your life?
Professor Bruce H. Lipton is a cell biologist, lecturer and researcher at renowned universities in America. He was a scientist par excellence until 1985 when his view that genes determine what the cells in our body do completely changed. He discovered that the life of a cell mainly responds to signals from the environment and is hardly determined by our genes.
Through scientific research he discovered that gene activation can change under certain circumstances. In his book 'The Biology of Belief', Bruce Lipton shares the discovery that thoughts, emotions and beliefs can influence our well-being and that we are not victims of our genes. He discovered that it is not the genes that determine our behavior, but that the genes are 'switched on and off' by external factors. They are triggered by our perceptions, thoughts and beliefs. This is also called 'epigenetics'.
The term epigenetics is used to describe a number of new areas of research in biology that are closely related to genetics. The Greek prefix 'επι' (epi) is often translated into the Dutch language as 'on' or 'at'. (as in epicenter, epidermis, etc.) Or as Bruce Lipton calls it 'control above the genes'. This epimechanism has to do with the ability of DNA to turn a gene on or off. Professor Lipton shows that beliefs, whether true or not, positive or negative, influence activity at the genetic level and can even change our genetic code. His extremely hopeful findings are considered one of the great breakthroughs in new science. It seems that we can train our consciousness to create healthy beliefs. This gives us the key to a healthier and happier life.
Meeting with Bruce Lipton, 'international leader in bridging science and spirit'
In 2014, Professor Lipton gave a one-day seminar in Maarsen organized by Liesbeth Bakker of Bliz Events. Liesbeth and I have known each other for years and share the same passion for consciousness development and personal growth and I had previously let her experience a Being in Balance session with the Body & Mind Scan, which she was very impressed with.
Because Being in Balance also allows us to measure epigenetic imprints (emotionally significant events that have had a strong impression on your body), the idea arose to offer Bruce Lipton a Being in Balance session during the lunch break of the conference. Normally this is impossible with these types of famous speakers, but Liesbeth, as the organizer of the event, had direct contact with him and when she shared her Being in Balance experience with him, he was immediately triggered and curious and really wanted to experience a session. He was on time and was clearly looking forward to it. An incredibly warm, amiable and intelligent personality. A man who only needed a few words of explanation about how the scan works because he is an authority in the field of quantum physics. It is not without reason that he is known as an 'international leader in bridging science and spirit'. The session quickly revealed where his energy resources were located, but also where he was losing energy and which organs were under stress. During the process he became increasingly fascinated, especially when we delved deeper into the causes of the stress on a psycho-emotional level, such as a deep imprint of an experience from his youth.
And there was epigenetics, measurable and visible even down to the cell and DNA level, which he had been researching and teaching all those years. His mouth literally dropped open in amazement!
Your 'psycho-emotional biography'
In the Being in Balance Body & Mind Scan we can, as it were, create a 'psycho-emotional biography' of limiting beliefs that have arisen due to emotionally significant events. Even from prenatal events that happened while you were still in the womb. Because each imprint generates a certain composite frequency pattern in the body, the organ of a measured person can be compared spectrographically with the enormously extensive Being in Balance database and we can thus map these patterns very accurately.
An example:
Suppose the relationship between two expectant parents broke down during pregnancy because the husband left the pregnant woman for someone else. Then, through the mother's train of thought, the child may unconsciously develop the belief that 'I am not good enough'. A pregnancy lasts 9 months and in this example this belief can create an epigenetic imprint in the developing child in the womb of 'I am not good enough'.
Fast forward 25 years later in this example:
The child is now an adult management consultant and can pitch for a large assignment together with 3 other agencies. At the moment of supreme importance, often under pressure, this old belief 'I am not good enough' can resurface and negatively influence performance at that moment without the person in question being aware of it. Perhaps the consultant from one of the competing agencies in this example has the deep conviction that 'I have self-confidence, I can handle anything', which is actually a helpful mindset to win the assignment in the pitch and he wins the deal!
In this way we also walked through Professor Lipton's most important epigenetic imprints and these were made aware for him, which, in the hour we had with him, gave him an enormous quantum leap in consciousness.
Thoughts are powers!
As you become more and more aware of limiting beliefs, you can learn to 'rethink' them step by step so that they lead to helpful feelings and helpful behavior in order to help you step by step to create the life you would like to have.
Thought energy can activate or inhibit proteins that determine cell functions through constructive (harmonic) and destructive interference. The neurological processing capacity of the subconscious mind is millions of times more powerful than the conscious mind! Research shows that at least 70% of all diseases are stress related: by experiencing unpleasant feelings caused by unconsciously unhelpful thoughts arising from unconsciously unhelpful beliefs, we lose energy and ultimately become ill.
'Rewrite the 'software' of your mind in order to change the 'printout' of your life' –Bruce Lipton
Your life is, as it were, a 'print-out' of your (unconscious) programming. You can 'reprogram' yourself when the subconscious and conscious minds are brought into alignment. That is the essence of Being in Balance coaching.
In short, as Bruce Lipton himself puts it:
'Our beliefs create our biology. The programmings of your subconscious are expressed as the life you experience. Rewrite the program and you rewrite your life.‘
Back to the session with Bruce Lipton during the lunch break of his seminar. What he was particularly impressed with was that Being in Balance brought together all the scientific concepts he had been working on for all those years: epigenetics, spectrometry (measuring and analyzing frequencies), biophotons (light frequencies that cells emit and receive), scalar waves (or longitudinal waves, according to Prof. Meyl, this form of waves is the way nature communicates) and quantum physics.
And we are extremely proud of the testimonial he sent to us the day after his session:
“With special appreciation for the Being in Balance® method – it is an important part of our evolution – for it can heal our world!”
Remember: You are not a victim of your genes but a conductor of your life. Make something beautiful out of it and enjoy!
